Does your CPA have a personal touch?

Today, we were discussing a short editorial regarding the importance of developing personal relationships with clients. We could not agree more.

Delivering customized personal tax, audit and advisory services is a core principal we live by every day at BCM Harris. We are nothing without our existing clients and the good word they pass on about us to their families, friends, and colleagues. Our client relationships are not only built upon technical expertise, but our inherent desire to dig deeper – putting in extra hours “off the clock” researching and developing new and better ways to meet our clients needs, solve existing problems, and help them to avoid any future setbacks. Being proactive is essential – its not enough to sit down with our clients during tax season. We meet throughout the year at hours and locations most convenient to our clients and we encourage them to contact us at any time. We get to know the goals and dreams for their businesses and families. This, in turn, builds trust and brings unlimited value to the organizations and individuals we serve, as well continued learning and engagement to BCM Harris professionals.

Nothing Beats the Personal Touch

As a consumer of accounting services – not a CPA – I can tell you it’s been a challenge to find a CPA who I feel I have a relationship with and who has my best interests at heart. It’s especially difficult after moving to a new city. Neither of the two CPAs I’ve worked with has ever contacted me through the year, not even prior to tax season. Granted, I’m an individual and not a business, but should that influence the kind of personal service I receive? Whether a CPA works with individual clients or with business clients, I believe the real value from an accounting firm means superior service, a forward-thinking attitude, and relationships clients can rely on.
